Marla Buchanan

Ms. Buchanan is the Chief Executive Officer and General Counsel for Blue Ocean Title, a full service real estate law and title company with five office locations in Northeast and Central Florida. She has been with the company since 2017. She has over 25 years of experience in business and the legal profession. Ms. Buchanan also serves as COO and General Counsel for GreenTechnologies, LLC, a fertilizer manufacturing company that develops green fertilizers for commercial and residential use. Prior to joining Blue Ocean Title, Ms. Buchanan was a partner at the law firm of Rogers Towers, PA. where she had a strong litigation practice. Ms. Buchanan’s legal and business experience is a winning combination that brings together customer service with legal expertise.
Ms. Buchanan earned her undergraduate degree and law degree from the University of Florida. She has utilized her legal skills to represent underprivileged individuals in her community and has been recognized with the Pro Bono Attorney of the Year in the past. In addition, Ms. Buchanan has served on the Board of BEAM and the Women’s Board for Wolfson’s Children’s Hospital and was a founding member of the not for profit, The Missing Link, formed to assist victims of domestic violence. Ms. Buchanan currently serves on the Truist Community Advisory Board, Sustainable Phosphorus Alliance (SPA) Board, Feeding Northeast Florida Board and the READ USA Board.
