Ashlea Jones
Workforce Development Director
Ashlea Jones joined READ USA in August 2023 as the Workforce Development Director. Ashlea oversees and supports the workforce development program year-round and works to enhance transportation opportunities for tutors and students. Ashlea interfaces directly with the CEO, Chief Programs Officer, directors, tutor coordinators, teachers, and tutors, as well as stakeholders and community collaborators to provide excellence in the community.
A native of Jacksonville, Florida, Ashlea brings over 10 years of combined experience in Nonprofit Program Administration, Quality Assurance, Workforce Development, and Community Resources/Connectivity. In 2017, Ashlea earned her bachelor’s in human services from Florida State College at Jacksonville where she became a member of Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society. Ashlea furthered her education and professional growth and development at the University of North Florida where she earned her master’s in public administration (MPA) and a Graduate Certificate in Nonprofit Management (CNM) in 2020. She graduated with High Honors and became a member of Pi Alpha Global Honor Society for Public Affairs & Administration because of her excellence in academic success.
Prior to joining READ USA, Ashlea has served in several capacities at organizations across Jacksonville, including providing exceptional administrative and organizational support to executive leadership at Baptist Health Jacksonville, and serving as the former Program Director for YMCA and former Quality Assurance Associate and Workforce Development Program Coordinator for Catholic Charities. Ashlea specializes in bridging the gap between the community and resources while preparing growing professionals for the future. In Ashlea’s spare time, she enjoys singing, resume writing, traveling, and spending time with her son, Karter.
Ashlea is dedicated to furthering the mission of READ USA by actively partnering with leadership and collaborating with external stakeholders to assess the needs of our community to implement programs, events, and opportunities that ignite hope and create a sustainable future for the next generation by building program impact and capacity.
